I'm aliveeee! With a new polish!

I've been a bad, bad blogger lately!

I'm so very sorry!  I've been so freakin' busy for the past month and a half...it's been INSANE.  I've been out of town like 4 times and have had visitors twice and two bridal showers and bachelorette parties and a wedding this Saturday and a business trip all next week! Raaahhh!  Oh and I also accepted a new job!

WOooo so a whirlwind!

I've been slowly trying to remake more of my polishes! And I've got 5 new ones, hopefully six!  I'll be re-opening my shop sometime in August.  I've got a big order to fill first and a few more out of town things to take care of, so I'll have a better idea of WHEN after all that!  So stay tuned!

I've also got some sweet reviews for you ladies that should be out this week/weekend!

BUT for now, I'll sneak preview one of my new polishes: Ces-ium The Day!

Check her out:

Three coats alone, one over For Audrey

2 coats over For Audrey

Excess amounts of pictures, sorry!  Ces-ium The Day has fine aqua, green, and blue glitters along with some ultra fine holographic shimmer!  It's meant as a layering polish and in most of the pictures above I've got it over China Glaze For Audrey, a perfect combo if I do say so myself!

This one will be for sale in limited quantities when I open shop!

Stay tuned this week for some more reviews :)

<3 you ladies, thanks for sticking by me while my life goes crazy!

Nail Venturous: Burst of Blue!

I have another great Nail Venturous polish to show you ladies today!  It's called Burst of Blue!

Check her out:

Wee!   I will never tire of Amy's polishes.  They are just so good!

Burst of Blue is a clear polish filled with fine blue and black matte hex glitter, larger white hex, and black and white bar glitter!  You can slap one coat this beauty over any other color to give it a cool blue effect or you can wear it on it's own!  I used three coats for these pictures and for the polish to appear opaque.  I really like these colors together!  My bedroom is actually black and white and teal, so naturally I like this a lot :)

You guys get your hands on anymore of Amy's polishes lately?  You can find them at Ninja Polish and on her Etsy site!

Another Indie! Featuring: Glitter Daze's April Rain

Boy do I have a beauty for you ladies today!

Have you heard of Glitter Daze? Sana has made some super pretty glitter-filled polishes!  She's actually got a blog where she features them as well--beautiful!

The one I have to show you today is from Sana's Simply Spring Collection--a beautiful collection of glitter spring-colored polishes, all with cocktail themed names! Such a cute idea!

Check out April Rain:

Honestly when I saw the bottle, I loved the color but had now idea how awesome it was until I swatched it!  April Rain is GORGEOUS!

April Rain is a beautiful light blue/teal polish loaded with silver, sea foam green, and blue glitters!  I think this is a fabulous spring AND summer polish and I'm super psyched to have it in my collection.  It goes on opaque in 2 coats, but I used 3 for these pictures, but would be beautiful with 1 coat layered over another color.  As a matter of fact you can see Sana's blog post here that shows it layered.  Lovely!

Check out Glitter Daze on Etsy.  She sells full sized bottles for $8.50-$9.00 and minis for $4.50-$4.85.

Nail Venturous: Corrupted!

I don't think you're ready for this jelly.

Oh. My. Gosh.  I found my new favorite nail polish in the whole world and it's made by my friend Amy at Nail Venturous Nail Lacquers/I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous!

I don't know how she makes such fabulous nail polish--she must be a genius.  She's gotten quite popular though and her shop will be closed for a little while, but if you can find a way to get your hands on some of her frankens (check Ninja Polish), I'm sure you'll love them!

Okay, you MAY be ready for this jelly now.  Check out Corrupted:

Ahhhhhh!  It's like a peacock on my nails!  Corrupted is a dark blue jelly with various gold, blue, and teal hex glitters.  There are also large light blue diamond-shaped glitters and gold bar glitter!  Not to mention that the formula was FABULOUS.  It went on perfect in 2 coats.

Seriously guys, I'm so in love with this polish.  I might order another one as a back-up if I ever get the chance, hah!

Have you gotten your hands on any of Amy's polishes?

I'm so flyyyy! OPI Fly + Pretty and Polished GBF

Hey ladiessss!  I've got some pretty polishes to show you today!

First up, from the OPI Nicki Minaj Collection: Fly!

Fly is a pretty bright teal that I loved as soon as I saw it in the promos!  It took me a while to get it, but I finally did and it is great:

I really had a hard time capturing the actual color of this polish!  In these pictures it looks more robin egg's blue, but it's really darker and more teal.  Overall, I really liked the color in person much better than in these photos!  The formula was thin, but pigmented and provided full coverage in only 2 coats.  I couldn't tell what kind of polish this was...it's like a jelly/cream hybrid.  Very interesting!

This was the only polish I picked up from the Nicki Minaj collection, but I wouldn't mind having the purple crackle :)

After wearing this for a while, I decided to try out Pretty and Polished's GBF, a pretty silver flakie layering polish:

This is super pretty!  I feel like it'd go over any polish and look good!  It had a really good formula, but I had to fish around for the flakies a bit!  I think if I had a full size bottle it would've been easier, though :)  Inside GBF are various sized holographic silver glitters and shards!  Have you guys gotten a chance to try any of Chelsea's polishes?  They are fab!

Did you guys get any of the Nicki Minaj polishes??

Featuring My New Favorite: Zoya Charla

Hellllloooooo girlies!  I am so PSYCHED that this time next week I will be in Florida at Disney World!  Horray!  I am planning on taking fun, bright polishes, but if all goes as planned I won't even have time to do them :)  Zoya Pippa is definitely on my list lol.

So I'm always the last person to jump on the bandwagon for pretty much anything, Zoya Charla being one of them.  I've seen tonnnss of swatches and jewelry made from Charla and I always kind of wanted it, but I refuse to pay Zoya shipping.  So when their Valentine's Day sale came around for a free red polish and free shipping with any other polish purchase I grabbed both Charla and Ivanka!

Holy. Moly. God. Almighty.  I can't believe I missed out on this beauty for so long.  If you're like me and don't buy things that everyone else likes, forget that you're like that for 5 minutes and order this immediately because it's gorgeous!

I understand that all of these pictures are nearly identical, but I probably took 40 of them and had a hard time choosing, lol...

Charla is a super gorgeous blue/teal/green duochrome (triochrome?) shimmer polish that flashes all sorts of pretty sea-worthy colors in the sun.  Zoom in on that sparkle, seriously, it's worth it.  Charla went on opaque in just two coats and followed suit with all of the other Zoya polishes with great formulas!

I never used to wear cool colored polishes, it was just pinks and reds, and boy am I glad that changed.  Do you guys have Charla?

Color Club Spring Colors!

Hello my lovelies!  Have you guys been to Ross lately?  Apparently they are selling some shiesty sets of Color Club polishes...I went there the other day looking for the new 2012 Blossoming Collection, and what I found was this:

Mysterrryyy Collection!

Now it says this is the Alter Ego collection, which came out last spring, but when I brought it home and looked it up, I found out that these are, in fact, not Alter Ego colors...or Blossoming colors :( BUT after some help from Rebecca from Rebecca Likes Nails, we deduced that at least 4 of these colors are from the Pardon My French collection (the 1,2,3, and 6th in the pic)!  SO here are the four we determined are from that collection:

First up: Au Naturale

I am still not 100% sure if this is Au Naturale or not, because Rebecca's swatches are a little more peachy, so if you know what it could be, let me know!  ANYWHO this ended up being quite a pretty color but the formula was very runny.  It took three coats to be opaque.  It looked streaky during application but after it dried it had spread out a little better.  I'd fight the crap formula to wear this again, though!  I also should mention that it dries slightly darker than it appears in the bottle.

Next up: Hot Couture

This pretty pink polish is Hot Couture.  This polish also took 3 coats to become opaque, and you can still see the ridges in some of my nails.  This formula was quite runny as well.  I did have some issues with bubbling on my index finger, but it might've been because I drug my hair through it while it was wet and globbed on a 4th coat to cover it up, haha.  It was very pigmented compared to Au Naturale and Pardon My French.  This polish also dries a little bit darker than it appears in the bottle.

Next: Pardon My French:

Pardon My French is a gorgeous light pink polish, but probably had the worst formula out of the four I'm reviewing here.  It was so watery and seemed streaky, but like Au Naturale, it actually smoothed out a lot (after 3 coats) while it was drying and you can't see the ridges in my nails like you could from Hot Couture.  This is such a light pink it appears kind of like a "nude" on my pasty untanned hands, lol.  After I applied it I immediately thought of Butter London's Teddy Girl (since the color and formula are similar) and thought I'd compare them real quick:

Color Club Pardon My French vs Butter London Teddy Girl
As you can see they are quite similar, but Teddy Girl is a few shades lighter.  The formula's are quite similar as well, and I remember having a hard time applying Teddy Girl when I reviewed it last year.  However, with the $14 price tag of Butter London polishes, I'd gladly pick up Pardon My French instead, which comes in a set of 7 polishes for $8.

Last: Meet Me At My Chateau

This polish ended up having the best formula of the four.  It was still very thin, but it was also quiet pigmented and it only took 2 coats to become opaque.   This color is such a pretty robin's egg blue color that is perfect for spring.  I actually have nothing else like it in my collection, so I'm glad I picked up this set, even though it isn't what I expected it to be!

Have you guys seen any of these wacky sets at Ross lately?  There was more than one of the same mixed-up set at mine, so I imagine they're going around!  Let me know if you think I ID'ed any of these polishes incorrectly!

Frankennnn!

So I still haven't got an e-mail response from my giveaway winner katiebug!  Girl, send me your address!  :)

BUT that's not what this update is about.  I want to show you ladies a fraken polish I made recently that I like a lot!  I've been frankening up a storm, which is why I haven't updated lately.

So here's the big surprise: I'm making element themed polishes!  Hopefully when I get things worked out I'll put them on Etsy.  I've got a decent amount made and I'm super excited about the nerdiness of them all ;)

Here's a preview of one!  It's called "Co-Balt of Lightning" :

Co-balt of Lightning is a duochrome polish that changes from teal to blue to navy to purple depending on the lighting.  All of the pictures shown above are with one coat of polish over black in window lighting.  It goes on pretty smooth and one coat is definitely all you need over a dark polish!  You may need to zoom in to see all the colors, I just couldn't capture them with my camera!

So what do you ladies think?

I'll probably give some away to bloggers in the future to review!  But in the mean time, I'm having a hard time coming up with names!

So here's what I'm going to do.  For each franken post I do I'll list a couple of elements that I don't have names for, and if you think of a name, send me an e-mail (Estyles.ww@gmail.com), and if I choose the name you thought of, I'll send you a bottle of the franken when I make it!  Here are a few elements I'm struggling with:

22 - Titanium
31 - Gallium
38 - Strontium
48 - Cadmium
64 - Gadolinium
88 - Radium

Thanks ladies :)
