Good morning pretties!
I've got a better fall color to show you girls today :) It's a Color Club that I'm pretty sure is called Snow Queen!
Now, I got this in a set at Ross a while ago and I initially had it labeled as Rev'd Up, but after looking at swatches, I know that's not the case as it has no shimmer! BUT it looks pretty close to Snow Queen--do you have another suggestion?
Anywho, here are the swatches!
Snow Queen is a dark, vampy purple jelly! The formula was great and went on smooth and opaque in only two coats. In case you were wondering, this is the polish I put on after removing my Butter London Fail :) This is definitely more of the fall look I was going for!
It was a bit darker than colors I usually wear, but I still liked it a lot! The only downside to this mani was that it started chipping the next day! Like...12 hours later! I did my normal routine of Rejuvacote + polish + Seche Vite and apparently that still didn't help. I was disappointed because my mani before this lasted like 9 days with the same routine! Oh well.
I took it off after a day (and by took it off I mean chipped it all off) and replaced it with ORLY Lucky Duck. Love!

NEW Color Club Magnetic Force in Hipnotic!
I hadn't been able to get my hands on any magnetic polishes until recently...okay, that's not true, I saw them at Icing and thought they were too expensive and didn't look that cool. All lies, guys, all lies. I want them all now, muwahaha!
I recently ordered a handful of the China Glaze Capitol Colors off of Victoria Nail Supply and I figured since I was already paying for shipping there, I'd try one of the new Color Club magnetic polishes! They've got 6 and since I'm a sucker for pinks I automatically was drawn towards Hipnotic.
Nowww in hindsight I probably should have practiced with the magnetic first on the hand I DON'T photograph, but I was just too excited! Lookie lookie!
Hipnotic is a dark fuchsia polish that smooths on awesomely in just one coat. The magnetic that comes with it (the whole big round lid is removable, the second lid/brush is underneath), is a wavy design that translates quite nicely to the nail, but mine are kind of nubbins right now...it'd look much better on longer nails.
The directions tell you that while the polish is still wet, hold the magnetic as close to you can get to the nail without touching (there is a little barrier that helps you not hit your nail), for 15 seconds. Once you pull the magnet away you have a cool wavy design in a lighter pink! However, after a little while while the polish finishes drying, the design kind of spreads out...so what I'm THINKIN' is that maybe let the polish dry just a tad and THEN use the magnet. What I did was paint one nail and then put the magnetic over it immediately, and since the polish was still pretty wet when I removed the magnet, it spread out a bit. What do you guys think? What's the best strategy for magnetics?
Overall, regardless, I love it. I can't help but love one-coater polishes and since you don't have to add additional coats, you can spend your time playing with the magnet and get a cool nail-artsy manicure in no more time than it would take you to do a normal manicure! Weee! I'm so psyched I bought this and now I want more.
Send me all your magnetixxxx! :) No seriously...I will take them and give them a good home if you don't like them, lol. Any application tips are appreciated as well!

Color Club Spring Colors!
Hello my lovelies! Have you guys been to Ross lately? Apparently they are selling some shiesty sets of Color Club polishes...I went there the other day looking for the new 2012 Blossoming Collection, and what I found was this:
Now it says this is the Alter Ego collection, which came out last spring, but when I brought it home and looked it up, I found out that these are, in fact, not Alter Ego colors...or Blossoming colors :( BUT after some help from Rebecca from Rebecca Likes Nails, we deduced that at least 4 of these colors are from the Pardon My French collection (the 1,2,3, and 6th in the pic)! SO here are the four we determined are from that collection:
First up: Au Naturale
I am still not 100% sure if this is Au Naturale or not, because Rebecca's swatches are a little more peachy, so if you know what it could be, let me know! ANYWHO this ended up being quite a pretty color but the formula was very runny. It took three coats to be opaque. It looked streaky during application but after it dried it had spread out a little better. I'd fight the crap formula to wear this again, though! I also should mention that it dries slightly darker than it appears in the bottle.
Next up: Hot Couture
This pretty pink polish is Hot Couture. This polish also took 3 coats to become opaque, and you can still see the ridges in some of my nails. This formula was quite runny as well. I did have some issues with bubbling on my index finger, but it might've been because I drug my hair through it while it was wet and globbed on a 4th coat to cover it up, haha. It was very pigmented compared to Au Naturale and Pardon My French. This polish also dries a little bit darker than it appears in the bottle.
Next: Pardon My French:
Pardon My French is a gorgeous light pink polish, but probably had the worst formula out of the four I'm reviewing here. It was so watery and seemed streaky, but like Au Naturale, it actually smoothed out a lot (after 3 coats) while it was drying and you can't see the ridges in my nails like you could from Hot Couture. This is such a light pink it appears kind of like a "nude" on my pasty untanned hands, lol. After I applied it I immediately thought of Butter London's Teddy Girl (since the color and formula are similar) and thought I'd compare them real quick:
As you can see they are quite similar, but Teddy Girl is a few shades lighter. The formula's are quite similar as well, and I remember having a hard time applying Teddy Girl when I reviewed it last year. However, with the $14 price tag of Butter London polishes, I'd gladly pick up Pardon My French instead, which comes in a set of 7 polishes for $8.
Last: Meet Me At My Chateau
This polish ended up having the best formula of the four. It was still very thin, but it was also quiet pigmented and it only took 2 coats to become opaque. This color is such a pretty robin's egg blue color that is perfect for spring. I actually have nothing else like it in my collection, so I'm glad I picked up this set, even though it isn't what I expected it to be!
Have you guys seen any of these wacky sets at Ross lately? There was more than one of the same mixed-up set at mine, so I imagine they're going around! Let me know if you think I ID'ed any of these polishes incorrectly!

Pink Wednesday! Color Club Hot. Like. Lava.
Woo I'm so bad at keeping up with Pink Wednesday, but it just so happens I had a pink swatch for this week!
Sooo I thought since I had such luck with the Color Club Cold Metal from the Foil'd collection, that I'd reach into my "selling" pile and use Hot Like Lava.
I don't often do that, but I haven't had much traffic to the blog sale page lately, and I'd been eying it in the basket for a while so I thought I'd try it.
This is two coats of Hot Like Lava:
Overall, I loved the application and the formula...but I just don't know how I feel about metallics/foils. I loved the blue, but I think I'll put this back on the sale page as used 1x. It is a pretty color, I just don't see myself wearing it, and I still do a decent amount of clean up and the metals don't clean up as well as creams. SO if any of you ladies have been looking for this (or any of the other CC foils), check out my blog sale, hah. I hear they're good for stamping, which almost makes me want to keep them...but I don't do that too often either, since I'm so bad at it :)
Did you guys pick up the Foil'd collection?

Another Color Club Scented Polish--Sugar Plum Yum!
So after trying Color Club Orna-Minted, I decided to try the other giant scented glitter polish I picked up by Color Club: Sugar Plum Yum!
It is a pretty color combination of smaller green glitters and large dark blue/violet glitters all packed into one. Since the green glitters looked similar to CC Holiday Splendor, I decided to use two coats of that as a base and here's what I came up with:
I found that the blue glitters are just so large that in some places it looked like I had dented the polish! Although it's possible that I did, haha. It does smell delicious though, kind of like candy!
I think I added two coats of Sugar Plum Yum on top of Holiday Splendor and it was just tooo much for me! Too much glittery green and blue. However, I saw Scrangie's swatches of this and I like it much better on top of black. Honestly, though, I'll probably never use this polish again, so I'll probably put it in my blog sale when I get back in town!
Have you guys tried any of the CC scented polishes for the holidays? Do you like them?

Christmasss timeeee
Hey ladiesss! I've got a few Christmas mani's to show you the next few days!
Here is the first one. It's kind of a mix of a bunch of different things and then glitter-fied so it looks super bling. I didn't get very good pictures of this, some are from my cell phone, so I apologize in advance:
So yes...very...Christmas-ey.
For the red nails I added a layer of OPI Animalistic and then two layers of OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It!
For the greens I did a layer of ORLY Lucky Duck and then two layers of OPI Fresh Frog of Bel-Air.
Then I decided there just wasn't enough silver glitter and added some Color Club Orna-Minted, which is super huge silver glitter pieces that smell like mint. Yum!
It was a glittery mess, to say the least, and ended up being super thick, but I rocked it for a few days anyway!
Hope you all are having a great holiday season!

Color Club Beyond The Mistletoe Review and Giveaway! **CLOSED**
Okay so I have GOOD news. First of all I started a BLOG SALE! Please check it out and buy things :) I'm really trying hard to get some extra money saved! It's open to both US and International buyers! It's got some great stuff on there.
Next up I have a review of a few of the colors from the Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe holiday collection!
First: Sugarplum Fairy! A beautiful silver/lavender holographic glitter
This one is really exciting! It's is a mixture of gorgeous silver/lavendar holo glitters in a clear base that looks awesome in the sun! These pictures are shown with 3 coats. It's pretty opaque after 3 coats. It's also a dupe of Funky Fingers Sand and Stilettos.
Next: Beyond the Mistletoe! A lovely seafoam green-ish holo glitter!
Beyond the Mistletoe is another lovely holographic glitter polish consisting of green holo glitter in a clear base. This one is thinner than Sugarplum Fairy and it took 4 coats to become opaque. It is also a dupe of a Funky Fingers polish: Baby, Baby, Baby.
Last: Holiday Splendor! My favorite of the whole collection! (And I haven't even tried them all)
Holiday Splendor is different than the rest of the collection as it consists of green/teal holographic glitter in a green jelly-like base. It was easily the most gorgeous color of the whole collection. This one only took 2 coats to become opaque. I don't know what else to say except..wow! I'm usually not a fan of teals or greens with my skin tone, but seriously this is probably in my top 10 faves now. It's perfect for the holidays!
Now, there are three other colors in this set, but the day I was swatching these I got lazy and frustrated with my lighting situation, so this is all ya got right now :)
However, you'll have the chance to swap them for yourselves because I'm giving a set away!
In addition to the entire Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe Collection you'll also get:
--1 Maybelline's Lots of Lashes Mascara in Very Black,
--1 Maybelline New Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm in Cherry Me,
-- 2 Sally Hansen Nail Prisms: Lapis Amethyst, and South Sea Pearl!
Here are some additional photos:
The Color Club Collection is new and purchased by me and the Maybelline products were presented to me by BzzAgent to give away as I see fit :) I threw in the SH Nail Prisms but they have been both been swatched one time on one hand (which I will post within the next few days so you can see what they look like!).

30 Day Challenge Day 7! Color Club De-Luxe-Cious!
So this is the first day of my original challenge! Are any of you ladies doing polish challenges?
I picked silver nails for day 7! Now, I have plenty of foils and glitters, so I thought I'd try something new.
I bought Color Club's De-Luxe-Cious quite a while ago and never tried it even though I loved it in the bottle. It's got a blue-ish/gun metal gray with silver holo shimmers in it. LOVE! I tried to wear it on it's own but it is pretty transparent, so I did two coats of Sally Hansen Midnight Sky (Which I'll do a whole post on later!):
And thennnn I added two coats of De-Luxe-Cious on top and got a wonderful combination:
I really loved this polish. I can't believe I only have one Color Club, hah! I would like to try it by itself again with maybe 3 or 4 coats and see how opaque I could get it to look...or maybe add one coat over black! It's just so pretty in the sun.
Has anyone else tried this polish? Did you LOVE it?!
