If you haven't heard of this before, it's basically a website you can sign up for where you test products and then share them or what you think of them with your friends through social networks and face to face conversations. Tons of companies use BzzAgent to get their products tested, so it's not just beauty products or anything--I've received campaigns from gum to make up to cleaning supplies, so it varies!
What happens is that sometimes you get picked randomly and sometimes you get chosen based off answers you've given in a survey to participate in what they call a "Campaign" to test a product. I've been signed up since June of 2010 and as of now, April 2011, I've been involved in 7 campaigns. It's really an involvement website. The more involved you are, the more Campaigns you receive. I have not been very involved until recently...mostly because I was a little confused about the process, so I'm going to make a tiny tutorial to help you all get started!
You can get more involved by taking surveys, sharing information about products you try via Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc., completing Campaign activities (some have extra things you can do for them!), writing a review, or posting a photo of you trying your products! When you're all done sharing you just fill out a BzzReport and let them know what you did to spread the word.
Basically, go to their site: www.BzzAgent.com and click on "How can I become an Agent" or "Join BzzAgent Now" and sign up!
Sorry for the ugly printscreens |
Now, getting into campaigns won't happen over night. The higher "rank" you are, the more early invites to Campaigns you'll receive and the more often you'll be asked to join them. Here's a great overview of what effects your campaign eligibility!
Since I started, BzzAgent has become much more user friendly, so it's not too hard to navigate and figure out what you can do. This is a shot of the BzzCampaigns tab of your site. Well...of MY site. It lists the campaigns you're currently signed up for and gives you the option to "Bzz" about them, or share them with everyone you know!
Along with Campaigns there's also a new thing called BzzLabs (as seen on the right). I haven't really done much in this area, but these are smaller campaigns where you can try samples, rather than the full size product, or get really great deals and coupons to try products with. I've only been signed up for one about golf balls and one about backing up your data online, neither of which sound too interesting to me, which is why I've not used it much!
Along with signing up for BzzAgent, they'll also ask you if you want to sign up for MyPoints. Basically every time you Bzz or do a survey, or really do any activity through BzzAgent, it will get you points on MyPoints. You can redeem these points for giftcards and such. Pretty cool, but you need a lot of points to get stuff. Although you can also do activities through the MyPoints website to get points. I'm okay with my free products for now. Although once you do an activity with BzzAgent you need to make sure you redeem your MyPoints!! They're only available for a few weeks, so you have to click "redeem" to get them. If you get MyPoints through a BzzAgent activity, they will tell you and link you to where you can redeem your points. Don't ignore this.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to share about BzzAgent! If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at EStyles.WW@gmail.com and I'll do my best to help you out!
I guess I should also point out that BzzAgent does not require any sort of "love" for being signed up. As in, I did not have to write this review of their website. When you Bzz about a product you're supposed to state you are a BzzAgent but most of the info you share should be about the product you try! I just decided that since I've had such a good experience with being a BzzAgent that I should share it with you! These opinions are my own and yes, I've received free products from BzzAgent, but that in no way effects what I say about them!
If this all sounds great and interesting to you, sign up!
Also, you can try RedBox if you want! You get a free rental if you haven't signed up online before! Check it out :)
