OPI Strawberry Margarita on my Toesies!

This is just a quick post because not many people care that much for toe pictures.  But I've been dying to try my OPI Strawberry Margarita and I thought it'd be a perfect pedicure polish!

I was right!

Check it out:

It was an easy clean up and went on opaque after 2 coats!  Honestly I think it's probably the cleanest I've ever painted my toes because I have such a hard time getting my face close enough to see them well hahaha.

In the pictures it looks super pink, but I think it's got a bit of a peach undertone to it in person.  I didn't think so until I compared it to Zoya Whitney, which you guys saw the other day and is super pink!

The formula was great...but it's OPI so you can expect that.  I'm loving all these bright colors I've been trying lately that go on in two coats!

Do you guys have this color? Jennnn I know you do! What'd you think of it?

Whitney loves Zoya Whitney!

Oooh like I said recently, I've been having great luck with Zoya lately!

I've been lemming hardcore for Zoya Whitney...specifically on the basis that it's named "Whitney" haha but once I got it and tried it, I loved the color, too!

Unfortunately I did this mani at night and didn't take pictures until the next evening, so you can see a bit of tip wear (from working...and putting together a book shelf...), but other than that, I loved it!

Normally I don't think pinks are that unique...you can pretty much find a dupe for any pink since they're pretty generic.  However, I don't think I have any pinks as "bubble gummy" as this!  I was thinking one of my Funky Fingers was similar, but it's kind of different.  I suppose I could compare them in the future!

This polish went on great and opaque in only 2 coats, which I am always ecstatic about! The formula is great...I really don't have a Zoya whose formula I don't like!  And with my lack of time I have to paint my nails, a nice formula and less required coats makes it a GREAT polish in my eyes!  Like I said, you can see some tip wear, but I've been using normal Sally Hansen top coat and quick drying cuticle oil drops on top instead of Seche Vite or Posche, so that probably could've been avoided.

Do you guys have this color?? How do you like it?!  Do you own a polish named after you? :)

To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, Disney’s “The Muppets” hits the big screen Nov. 23, 2011.

Zoya "Jem" from new Smoke and Mirrors Collection!

Oooh dear.  SO I've been meaning to post, oh I don't know, maybe like 5 different polishes I've taken pictures of during my moving/unpacking process, but I just haven't got around to it!  Sorry!

I have been sent some Barielle polishes to review...but I still have one left and I'd like to do them all at once.  So then I was going to update with one of my new fav polishes, Zoya Whitney (biased much? hah), but I tried Zoya Jem today from their Smoke and Mirrors Collection and it's so fabulous that I want to show you all NOW!

Soooo excuse me for the amount of pictures...they are all kind of similar but I wanted to show you guys all the color you can see in this fabulous dark purple.

Love love love.

I've been having great luck with Zoya.  I took advantage of their buy one get two free...even though shipping costs the same as a polish.  I've been wanting Whitney and another Kimmy, so I thought I'd try this as well!

Anywho, this lovely, what I would call duochrome, went on great in 2 coats and could be a 1 coater if you're in a rush.  It shows a lovely array of purples, reds, and bronzes in the sun light and it looks decent on my nubbin nails.  I've broken a bunch during moving and unpacking, which is a bummer, but with a little cuticle TLC they look a bit better already.

The only downside was that since I'm not used to wearing darker colors I thought I'd be able to clean up quickly after slapping it on--but even with acetone it turned my skin a little purple.  I'm assuming it'll wash off, though!

Wooo so have any of you guys tried the Smoke and Mirrors collection?  I haven't found any place around here who sells Zoya (no Ultas, sad story!) so I probably won't be ordering any unless they have a really great promo :)

Okay, hopefully I can update more this week now that my photos are edited!  Hope you all are greaaat!

Last day to enter my Giveaway!!

Oh my gosh, I JUST noticed what day it was!

It is the LAST day to enter my Apothica giftcard giveaway!!  You guys should definitely go enter!  I just ordered a bunch of stuff off Apothica (some of it was on sale!) and I'm super pumped to get my stuff!

Anywho, sorry I've been MIA again for a week.  I'm still working on unpacking and getting things all pretty for when the BF gets back from his vacation!

I've taken a few pictures of my nails...like 3....so I potentially have three entries I just haven't posted yet.  Sorrry.  I'll get back into this stuff when I get the hang of my work schedule.  Hopefully tomorrow.  I cooked for the rest of the week (through Thursday, at least) so I should have time tomorrow after work :)

Love you all, thanks for sticking with me!

I'm BACK! With a CND review and a giveaway update!

Helllllo lovelies!

I am officially back from my 3 week hiatus!  Sorry about that--moving was a complete disaster (Not to mention that I broke 7 of 10 nails and now I have nubbins)!  It was so hectic and there were lots of miscommunications...then I took a vacation and started my new job!

The job has long hours...I work four 10 hour days so I'm trying to adjust.  We'll see if I can even get out a blog post or two during the week.  I should be back on the weekends though :)

First announcement I have is that I'm extending my Apothica Giftcard Giveaway another week until 8/22.  I haven't been around to remind you, so I thought that would be best!  Not a ton of people have entered so you have a good chance of winning $25!  Since I'm all settled in now to my new place I'm going to start ordering from there :)  There's lots of things I want!

Anyway next I've got a review of CND's Tropic Coral for you all that I did right before I moved.  Sorry for taking so long to update!  Here are some pictures first:

You can see on the bottle where it had leaked during shipping :/

Soooo you all should know by now that I like corals, haha.  I just think they go great with any skin tone!

But anyway, this was my first CND polish that was sent to me for review.  It's a pretty coral cream that needed 3 coats (if I remember correctly) for complete coverage.

I had some issues with the formula--it ended up being quite thick and hard to put on with a little bubbling but I'm almost positive that this was because this poor sample sat in my mailbox in 95 degree heat for quite a few days while we were out of town :(  It was also not sealed too great and had leaked in it's packaging which I'm sure was a big contributor as well.  I need to pick up some thinner and test it again because it's a beautiful color!  The other polish that I received from them did not have the same formula problem, so I'm pretty positive it was the heat that thickened this beauty up!

Anyhow, I think this color is beautiful but not super unique and may be a dupe for the polish I just received from Barielle's Summer 2011 Karma Kollection called Gotta Have Fate!  The pictures look pretty similar, so when I can thin out Tropic Coral, I'll compare the two!

Wellllllllll thanks for sticking with me during my time away!  I hope to get in a schedule again of updating, so bear with me for a while :)
