First up, from the OPI Nicki Minaj Collection: Fly!
Fly is a pretty bright teal that I loved as soon as I saw it in the promos! It took me a while to get it, but I finally did and it is great:
I really had a hard time capturing the actual color of this polish! In these pictures it looks more robin egg's blue, but it's really darker and more teal. Overall, I really liked the color in person much better than in these photos! The formula was thin, but pigmented and provided full coverage in only 2 coats. I couldn't tell what kind of polish this was...it's like a jelly/cream hybrid. Very interesting!
This was the only polish I picked up from the Nicki Minaj collection, but I wouldn't mind having the purple crackle :)
After wearing this for a while, I decided to try out Pretty and Polished's GBF, a pretty silver flakie layering polish:
This is super pretty! I feel like it'd go over any polish and look good! It had a really good formula, but I had to fish around for the flakies a bit! I think if I had a full size bottle it would've been easier, though :) Inside GBF are various sized holographic silver glitters and shards! Have you guys gotten a chance to try any of Chelsea's polishes? They are fab!

ReplyDeleteI love Fly, its also my favorite from the Nicki collection. I picked up all of them except the shatter and bar glitter. I truly love the formula and all of them, I hope you decide to get Did It On 'Em (the greenish yellow) its so awesome and ugly I love it!

I love Fly! I have the whole Nicki Minaj collection and this one by far, is my favorite! My husband even stated after I swatched it that his guitar would look great in that color LOL. Love it with the GBF on top. Oh and Super Bass Shatter looks amazing over Fly :-)

DeleteI got Fly and Save Me... I loved Fly so much I wore it for 6 days, when I went to remove it I discovered that it had stained my entire nail (no joke, it looks like I didn't take it off)... through my base! I was so sad. I used baking soda and peroxide and whitened them back up, but now I just longingly look at the bottle on my shelf and wish I didn't have to worry about it staining!! boo...

DeleteOhhh nooo! It stained?? Wowsers, that sucks! I only wore it for a day and it was okay! I'll have to be sure to use double base coat next time if I plan on wearing it for more, though! Thanks for the heads up!

I did a review of the Nicki Minaj OPIs when I picked up a pack of the minis. I loved them so much I went and got full size bottles of all of them! This teal is kind of basic, but still wonderful. And it's the only teal I own that comes of clean with no staining!
ReplyDeleteHahaha when I saw the whole collection initially I thought I wanted all of them but had to restrain myself! It is a bit basic and I thought I had others like it, but it turns out I don't! Love it !
