So I took ORLY's "Shine" as the metallic base (non-frost, which I love), and China Glaze's 108 degrees and here's what I came up with...sorry sort of picture heavy. I literally took 20+ pictures and couldn't decide which ones to use.

| Up close, super flash. This is what the pink actually looks like, though! |
Ahh, I LOVE it. I could've been more patient and taken more time to clean up and smooth my lines, but this was my first ruffian and I'm pretty satisfied with how I did. If it's sunny maybe I'll do pics again tomorrow.
What do you think? Have you tried the ruffian before?
I got tagged for the Kreativ Blogger award...but I'm going to wait until tomorrow to do that. Also if you look back a few posts I had a reader survey...you should fill it out!

Wow, this looks amazing. I've never heard of a ruffian! But I like it. I'd try it but my polishing skills aren't good at all. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I love it :) It was created in the fall of '09 for the runway but it was done with a gold foil polish and a black matte polish. So it typically turns out something like this, but I'm into shimmers and wanted to try it a different way: http://www.lacquerized.com/2010/03/ruffian-inspired-manicure-most-awesome.html
ReplyDeleteI like this, now I really want 108 degrees! And also, now I want to try a ruffian as well.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was anything special when I first saw it...I thought it looked similar to other polishes that I had, but it's so bright, it's really like nothing else I own! I highly recommend it :) Although I've only so far used it on top of the silver base so I don't know how it looks by itself!
